Development over Winning

Cool Roster Spreadsheet System

Coach Roster Management

While looking around web to see what tools are out there with regards to "positive charting", I found this page by accident. I checked out the "lineup" tab where this particular spreadsheet has some automation. All you need to do is to initial list the names of players in the "Master List". The next step is for you to choose the positions. The spreadsheet will then auto list the positions in a 4-4-2 formation by AYSO quarter breaks.

Choose the Right Formation

  • No right or wrong formation
  • Based on your team's speed, ability, endurance, field size, speed, and ability of opponents
  • Experiment in training and scrimmages
Watch the US Soccer Interview with Jurgen Klinsman where he discusses these concepts with the development of Youth Soccer.
